This screencast was produced by David Erickson for the e-Strategy Internet Marketing Blog: bit.ly To tag a friend or fan page, type the @ symbol in your status update and then immediately start typing the friend or fan page you want to tag. A drop-down menu will appear from which you can choose the person or page you want to tag.

You cannot run this “Feature” on Opera, as David uses Chrome I assume it works there, it also works on IE, no experience when it comes to Firefox. Hope that answers some questions.

to update your status does it matter if you type it on the home page or your profile page?

do you put a space in the name ex: @billy bob? or is it @billybob?

@mikeparm1027 Spaces in between first and last names don’t matter. You just need to make sure there’s no space between the @ symbol and the name of the person and/or page you want to tag.
